Is Working Out Making You Happy? Why This Absolutely Matters!

how to get ripped muscles

We all work out for different reasons.  For many of us, it’s to look and feel better, to lose some weight, or just to achieve something cool with our bodies and our abilities.

Unfortunately, many of us head to the gym and never actually make an effort to enjoy the workout.

But why would we enjoy working out?  It’s hard, you sweat a lot, and you suck a lot of wind (if you’re pushing yourself). Plus sometimes maybe you feel silly jumping around or you worry you’re not athletic or coordinated enough.  Working out is challenging. We all know it’s not always easy to get motivated to work out, much less be motivated to enjoy the workout itself too.

But while it’s true that working out is a lot harder and less enjoyable than sitting in front of a 52 inch flat screen TV watching the game while bonging some beers, it doesn’t mean working out has to be boring.

Say it with me! ”Working out can be fun.” Now say it out loud, and say it to yourself until you start to believe it :)

Ever since breaking my wrist and being forced out of the weight room for a few years, I learned how to do a large variety of workouts to accomplish my fitness goals.  I learned to do sprints, run long distance, uphill sprints, circuit training, sprints on outdoor and mountain trails, martial arts, basketball, jump rope, kettlebell exercises, pilates, yoga, P90x, and now… the Insanity workout program.

While I used to spend 5 days a week in the weight room pumping iron to get a body with muscle mass and ripped muscles, having a disability forced me to try new things and let go of old habits and the same old routine.

Breaking free from the routine and switching up my workouts has gotten me in better shape, I’ve learned to enjoy my workouts a lot more, and it’s really helped me become a more well-rounded person and a better athlete.  Also working out with a partner or a group of people has helped me push myself even harder.

I can’t overstress the value in switching up your training regimen (after you have a good handle on your current one) and doing exercises that you have fun with, and on days when you’ll be doing exercises that aren’t fun, try to at least pretend you like them.  And when you’re doing the workout, keep your focus 100% on the task at hand to keep your energies completely devoted to proper form and intensity- you’ll be well on your way to achieving an awesome body and outstanding cardio vascular condition if you can do this regularly.  One-pointed focus.

I know you can keep this up.  And with higher intensity and focus come benefits like ripped muscles and looking great.

You’ll also enjoy even more of the benefits of working out like the endorphins and happy chemicals your body and brain release during high intensity workouts.  There’s no anti-depressant better than sparring in the ring or sprinting up a mountain!  Or that awesome feeling  you have in your chest and back after a good workout and you’re all swollen up (in a good way)?

Make sure you’re enjoying your workouts and giving 100% focused effort.  This is how you’ll get the great results the fastest!

Where to Start on Getting Fit and Ripped Muscle if You’re New or Tired of Your Current Routine

Face it, you have to start somewhere to get where you want to be.

If you’re just getting started and need a solid muscle building fat burning plan that is guaranteed to work, or you just don’t quite know where to dive in, Vince del Monte has a great program that covers all the bases from nutrition to what types of workouts and how to do them in order to gain real muscle and lose weight now.  It’s called No Nonsense Muscle Building and it actually works.

This guy Vince del Monte used to be called “Skinny Vinny” and was really thin until he made up his mind and did something about it.  What followed is worth checking out if you’re wondering if it’s possible to go from skinny to muscle.

After all, if you’re born skinny, how on Earth can  you gain weight?  Is it even possible? I hear the same thing all the time online in the health and fitness forums.  “Help I’m 17 and very skinny and I can’t gain weight!  I work out but cannot gain muscle!”  Or I hear “Does No Nonsense Muscle Building really work for fat people?”

Help is here.  The answer is YES, and any one can do it.

Check out No Nonsense Muscle Building to learn more.
